This season has started with a 4 game winning streak for Harlequins and I couldn’t be happier. Our goal this season is not as simple as winning the league, we want to do it while focusing on recruitment, player development and building our women’s team from strength to strength.
When I first got voted as captain I set us the goal of winning the league as I felt that once we became a performance based team with a large squad of girls we could become the team to dominate the league and grow and develop as the season goes on. So far this season we have played 4 games and scored over 25 Try’s from a mixture of forward and back plays and team work has allowed us progress together.
As captain I want to provide each player with top quality training in a safe and fun environment where everyone feels welcome and has the ability to learn and develop. Game time, where everyone has the opportunity to show their skills, develop as players and to put our shirt on and perform. The final thing would be the social aspect, Quins are known for their great hospitality, their love of the game and I want every player to feel involved, feel welcome and feel part of something big.
